My Mi-Go design.

This creature appears in the story "The Whisperer in Darkness" from Lovecraft.

Wow, very cool interpretation. While I personally try to avoid humanoid shapes whenever possible I have really much appreciation of this uniqe idea of yours.:)

Thanks, KingOvRats!

I agree with you.

But Lovecraft put them in his story disguising as humans and at the same time describing them as pink crabs. He was very specific about the crabs - not lobsters.
Many interpretations go to the lobster/insect version, with very small wings as well.

It was a tough one to design based on the canonical material, so thank you very much for appreciating!

I see, still what I like about it and what rarely is adressed in Mi Go interpretation is that rear pair of legs looks somewhat stronger than others. They were said to walk on all limbs and occasionally on just rear pair, when carrying obiects; Based on this, the last pair should be somewhat anatomically different and I usually see them drawn with just front limbs being big, while the rest is equally small.:)

Yes, that was also one of my concerns and a reason why I've depicted it standing on two limbs.

Completely agree. ;)

Thanks! :D

In my blog, I go through the whole process of conceiving it, with sketches and notes.
